the end of the world as we know it???
call me a hypochondriac if you like but ever since a few years ago i've been convinced that i was going to die at an early age in an unexpected fashion, perhaps a car accident, maybe a plane crash, maybe i'd sit on a mound of fire ants and die from thousands of little bites...or perhaps, my death won’t be as early as I thought it would be and would occur in the year 2029 at the ripe old age of 45…and maybe it wont be unexpected at all, maybe it’ll be something that the whole world will brace for…maybe we’ll be victims of a colossal meteor crash (usa today) the likes only imagined by the creators of armageddon

could it be possible that we'll be to the (insert number here) century what dinosaurs were to the 20th century???

will some type of living organism find bones from our skeletons hundreds (if not thousands) of years from now and be as perplexed with us as we were upon first discovery of fossils???

i guess only time will tell

great expectations?
i suppose this is the point where i exclaim with glee 'hello world!' sorry to disappoint. i am a crossover blogger, after having read a few blogs for quite a while now, tequila mockingbird in particular, i've become inspired to begin one of my own. i have no expectations of my blog, i don't really expect to gain any visitors although i would like to say hello to those of you who have graced me with your presence. so, until i have more to say, adieu, and happy holidays!
my philosophy...

like a phoenix we burn
ourselves all our lives hoping
that the ashes will give birth
to a new us... but all that's left
in the end is nothing.
